Care: Handwash and iron on low heat. May be dry cleaned.

The Yakan weave is created with a backstrap loom and is recognized as one of the most intricate weaves in the Philippines with bold geometric patterns and striking colors. Over the years, the weavers have adopted the use of fibre blends due to the scarcity of natural fibres and market demand. The color palette has also evolved to include subtle color hues. It takes at least a week to warp the loom with more than 100,000 meters of fiber and produce a meter of Yakan fabric.
